One Punch Man is Getting a Video Game.
Bandai Namco has taken the project underway of making a fighting game for the hit TV show One Punch Man. Since this is Bandai Namco we’re talking about we can rest easy that the game will be well done. We have countless examples from the developer of games of the same genre done amazingly well like the Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm Series and One Piece World Seeker. Another great example is Jump Force, a game that features characters from mainstream anime and has a great storyline.
By the looks of it, the style seems to be based around a Tekken or Mortal Kombat fighting game. The characters announced were in order, the One Punch Man himself, Saitama, The Demon Cyborg, Genos, The younger of the blizzard sisters, Fubuki, everyone’s favorite anti hero, Speed of Sound Sonic, and for some reason the C-Class Hero, Mumen Rider.
We hope to see a storyline brimming with activity and moments from the anime as well as awesome attacks for the characters themselves, that stay true to their fighting styles and personas in the anime. The full name of the game is One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows. The release date has not been finalized but the game will release on PC, Xbox and PS4. Here’s the trailer if you want to check it out yourself.
