One Punch Man Episode 10 Review
The tenth episode of One Punch Man’s second season aired on 18th June 2019. There was much to unpack in this episode as were some new elements and characters. In this episode we see Saitama’s competitive side as he furiously battles King in a video game. To no avail however, because he gets beat easily by the evidently avid gamer King.
Also in this episode we see one of the monster association’s top executives, Gyoro Gyoro toy with the Hero Association. This shows that the Monster Association considers itself to be in a position above the Hero Association and they can even go as far as to fool around with them. The exact agenda of the monster association is also revealed in this episode which is to create a world for just monsters.
However the Gyoro Gyoro is astounded to learn that Goketsu is defeated although it is obvious that he has no knowledge of Saitama or his powers. He comes to the conclusion that the operation would not be so easy to pull off.
Garou has just come to after being kicked by Saitama however when he wakes he is under the notion that King got him. He notices the A class hero Death Gatling however he takes his current state in to consideration and decides to call it a day.
Meanwhile Genos after his tussle with Roach Awakening has gotten some serious upgrades. So serious that Doctor Kuseno has to warn him not to go all out. Because he can’t repair if there is nothing left to fix. Kid Emperor is seen to negotiate with metal knight about the location of the Monster Association’s Base. And the conversation concludes with Metal Knight choosing not only to avoid participating in the operation but to withhold the location of the base of the monsters’ operations entirely.
We also see a different side of Garou as he tries to reassure Tareo and gives him very menial advice. Certainly not a task suited to your average hero hunter. The most intriguing part of the episode however was the cliffhanger at the end showing Garou in an interesting situation being forced to face off against a complete Squad of A class heroes alone and also having to protect Tareo at the same time. How will he manage? What will be the Hero Associations next move against the monsters? And most importantly when will we get to see some good old Saitama action? Find out in next week’s episode of One Punch Man!
